The Chief Minister Internship Program is a project by the Government of Punjab’s Youth Affairs and Sports Department (YAS). It offers six-month paid internships to unemployed young people. The program helps fresh graduates learn useful skills and gain real-world experience, making it easier for them to find jobs.

To apply, candidates must have completed 16 years of education or more in any field from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized institution. Those with a three-year diploma after matriculation in Associate Engineering or a two-year diploma in paramedical and health technician fields from recognized boards can also apply. The age limit is between 18 and 25 years. The Chief Minister Internship Program is only for unemployed youth with a Punjab domicile. Degrees or transcripts must be attested by IBCC (for matric and intermediate) and HEC (for bachelors, masters, and PhD) or the application will be cancelled.

The internship lasts for 6 months. After 6 Months Internship will completed and candidates will be off from duty.

Interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000 for the duration of the internship. It will be paid through Bank Accounts.

The internship provides on-the-job training in private sectors, allowing you to apply the knowledge and skills you acquired during your studies to real-world situations. This experience will help bridge the gap between academia and industry

  • Degrees / academic credentials of selected internees will be verified
  • Selected candidates will be offered internship opportunity via email.

While the internship provides valuable experience and networking opportunities, it does not guarantee permanent employment. However, successful completion of the internship may enhance your chances of securing a job.

Interns will be placed in various leading organizations across Punjab. It can be in any District, Tehsil or Town.

Yes, the program will benefit 6,000 fresh graduates. In the next months more Seats will be announced.

After the internship, the candidates will have gained significant experience and skills that should enhance your employability. You may use this experience to apply for jobs or pursue further opportunities in your field.

  • Candidate will be able to qualify for monthly stipend disbursement only if minimum cut off marks in monthly performance evaluation & attendance report are secured.
  • Mobile application based on GPS location will be used to mark daily attendance.
  • 70 marks out of 100 total marks (100 marks comprise of 70 marks for attendance and 30 marks for performance evaluation) are mandatory to be able to receive full stipend.
  • Two leaves per month are allowed. Any leave (authorized or unauthorized) more than two days will result in deduction of that day’s stipend.

The registration process for candidates is tentatively scheduled to begin on 28th August 2024, with the last date to submit applications being 30th September 2024.
